Eating a coconut!
Not too much to report as of late, but I thought I’d write a little entry. I went to La Rana Dorada last night, the only microbeer brewery in Panama. It was awesome. This was pretty much the first time I’ve gone out in the city since I got here. Today while hiking up Ancon hill I noticed something awesome about the women ‘hiking’ on the trail. Apart from the few women also running, most of the women walk up and down the mountain in high heels! Wedges, pointy stilettos, or sometimes, fancy flats. The road is paved but still, I’d break my neck!
No problems with the earthquake or tsunami. It was a cloudy rainy day but no tsunami.
I finally have my experiment up and running (for the most part). I need to get a few more MP3 players to play at night, and I am hoping the ones I have will start working a little more consistently. I originally hoped to get the experiment up and going about 3-4 weeks in, but 6 isn’t that bad when you consider I’m working by myself and have had some set backs. Other than that, not much new is going on. I did find out that there is a microbrewery called La Rana Dorada about 10 minutes away, and I am very excited to try it out.
Up close on the bridge road. This is one of the better sections of the bridge, as you get towards the middle the wood starts disintegrating.
Inorder to enter/leave Gamboa you have to drive across an amazing bridge. The waterway to the right is the Panama Canal and the bridge crosses over a tributary off the Canal.
